Theological and Philosophical Aspects of Relations between Gnoseology and Kindness

Abstract

The conference report refers to relations between gnoseology and kindness based on philosophical and theological standpoint.  Gnoseology as knowledge of possibilities and its philosophical theory to study accordance to reality issue, requires: ,,know thy self”, to understand, what you are able to do, what you know and to motivate yourself to seek new knowledge. This need has been with us since creation, as to the likeness and image of the Creator, however, human desire to become omniscient as the creator was doomed from the start, nevertheless, till today cognitive object`s cognition is being managed by cognitive subject. He is a person who directs cognition to transcendental (outside himself) and immanent (inside himself) reality. Similarities between God and humans give them possibilities to stive to know the Lord, which should be reachable to some extent. That is why a person rewarded with the right of free choice was granted a mind.

Today, in cultured, developed society, requirements for the knowledge of the knowledge acquired by mankind in accordance with the eras, is as much of mandatory as morality, conscience and any goodness. Ignorance and illiteracy are considered to be as much shameful as any degrading and bad behavior. Despite this, humanity continues its history of existence in the struggle between the light of knowledge and the darkness of ignorance.

The superiority of knowledge is indicated and taught by the choice of the wisdom of King Solom as a sacrifice of all other worldly goods from the biblical Old Testament. Even after that Philosophers' love of wisdom paved the way to truth and made possible the advancement of human thought to know the highest truth – study and understand Christian doctrine. Knowledge which in reality biblicall, Christ crucifiers must not have been given to them, because as a result of their idolatrous confidence in false knowledge, they have voluntarily closed the door to the possibility of receiving the truth.

Thus, the fools went so far as to crucify an honorable man, when they thought they were defending the truth. Couple of centuries ago Socrates, the father of philosophy, was also executed. However, it was enough for them to act according to the true principles of the Ten Commandments and no matter how much they were obsessed with the passion of cruelty, they could not have become murderers. When Christ asked the Father to forgive the crucifiers, he cited ignorance to justify them. It turns out that before the coming of Christ, mankind, despite their many efforts to seek wisdom, could not think of even one thing so as not to become the killers of God himself. It is through ignorance that they become the crucifiers of the God who brought the knowledge of the highest kind.

In our conference report, we attempted a general analysis with a consistent review of such philosophical-theological aspects of the issue. In the process of spreading gnoseological possibilities and its reality in the history of human development.
