Cinematic Aspects of Georgian Avant-garde

This year marks the centenary of the journal H2SO4, making the work of Georgian futurists, renowned for their innovative and experimental approach, even more relevant today. This paper aims to highlight several significant aspects of Georgian futurist works that are particularly interesting from a film studies perspective. Specifically, we examine their work regarding the myth of fire, film montage, and the transfer of cinematic techniques into literature. Furthermore, using the example of the literary texts of Bolshevik poets, we attempt to analyze the literary processes of the 1920s in general and their avant-garde nature.
